- Jace Deathbringer is precisely that, a bringer of death. A ferocious, behemoth of a man, Jace is arguably the most terrifying warrior in all of FEAR. He charges recklessly into battle and revels in the excitement of warfare. He needs no strategy in combat other than to know which people to kill. Jace is not sent into combat, he is unleashed upon the enemy.
- Few men are able to follow Jace into battle and survive to see the other side. His fighting style leaves little for commanding troops in formation. His commands consists of yelling no more than a few guttural phrases which are just as often threats to his enemies as they are orders to his own troops. Because of this, Jace’s army is filled with the strongest and craziest soldiers that FEAR has to offer. They are a small number of warriors who have learned how to work best with their leader’s unpredictability and to stay out of his way. What they lack in numbers they make up for with intensity. Each man has proven himself countless times in battle and has the respect, admiration, and sometimes fear of the rest of the army.
- When Jace first met Ammyth in a grassy field he quickly attacked him with his usual ferocity. Ammyth held his own and eventually defeated the berserker. Jace was no fool and knew when he had been beat. Ammyth respected him for his ferocious will in combat and offered him a home. Ammyth had won his respect and loyalty and Jace became one of the first people to join FEAR. He has been known to attack visitors to the tribe, especially mysteriously cloaked individuals, but he does so out of protection for FEAR. He remains one of the strongest fighters in FEAR to this day and his loyalty is never questioned.
- Jace was not always the bringer of death. In fact, Deathbringer is not his original name. He was once a well spoken and proud leader of a group of noble soldiers. No one from FEAR knows what happened to Jace before he met Ammyth and none are foolish enough to ask. But there are some in the world who remember the true name of Jace Deathbringer and the former man he used to be.
