Background Info

One of the more mysterious members of FEAR, Burklert has been with the group since nearly the beginning. It is rumored that he joined up with the group shortly after evading some Relian authorities over matters concerning a major fraud ring with the empire’s weapons market. Not much else is known about Burklert before he showed up on FEAR’s doorstep. He wears a long cape and large dark glasses, most likely in an attempt to evade recognition from spies and informants.

Burklert is most often found heavily intoxicated or in the search of more alcohol to keep his buzz going. It is not uncommon to find him passed out in a corner after a particularly intense drinking session. He is a self proclaimed ladies’ man and believes that no woman can resist his charms. This is most likely due to his high level of intoxication whenever in the presence of a woman. Sometimes Burklert can be heard mumbling in his sleep, tossing and turning. He claims to never remember what he dreamed about. Because of this, most FEAR members assume that his drinking habits are the result of some traumatic experience Burklert is doing his best to forget.

Most enemies take Burklert’s appearance and drunkenness as signs of weakness. However, he has developed a fighting style all his own that meshes perfectly with his drunken antics. His strange and sometimes goofy behavior has caused more than one enemy to hesitate in attacking, leading to their swift end.

Despite his seemingly troubled past, Burklert is a happy go lucky kind of guy that enjoys himself as much as he can. He is a good friend, a strong warrior, and a mighty drinker. He has become a loyal member of FEAR and won’t be leaving anytime soon.
