Ahhh how can I go on with this series without bringing good ol' Herb back once in a while? Expect to see him more often in future comics. This is just a quick one to get the new year going, I'll be continuing with the main story line in the next one.
Also started using the manga style of writing words that explain sounds or actions like if you got shot by an arrow there would be text that says "ARROWED"!
Ha ha - very nice. The "wiggle" is extra amusing.
Can't wait to see more with new FEAR characters introduced as well!!

But manga sucks. Infact, all anime sucks.
Rawng, Anime and Manga = the best.
Besides, I'm not sure why MSJ thinks onomatopoeia is "manga style". Clearly American comics are thoroughly notorious for exactly the same thing.
Batman, Spiderman, Superman, they all had it too.

Some of the most notorious are from 60s era propaganda comics for hippie surpression.

ok now let's look at modern comics...manga has differents sounds or silent actions written all over the page whereas north american comics only use them for major sound effects.
If I had a manga within hand reach, i'd give you a better example.
Like in my latest comic the word "stare" is written in there...to emphasize the awkwardness. I don't think you'd see that kind of stuff in North American style comics.
I prefer to have several panels of them just staring at each other over the awkwardness with no words. I think that makes it funnier.
