This isn't a rant so much as a... normal blog.
So, I've had a gym membership ever since I finished University to make sure I don't become a heap. Every new year there's a bit of a phenomenon with New Year's resolutions and gym attendance.
Essentially, starting the first full week the new year there is a huge surge in gym attendance. Yes, this is very annoying, but still not a rant, and I'll explain why.
There's basically 4 types of people in the gym this time of year:
1 - Regulars, they're standard issue, and typically peeved with the surge as parking tends to suck. These people are standard folks.
2 - People who committed to get in shape. These are generally middle aged people who are out of shape and are only in the gym because of some commitment they are going to break in a month or less. These people are wastes of space and shouldn't even bother. You're not going to avert heart disease by working out every January and sleeping in vats of Crisco the rest of the year.
3 - People who are committing to lifestyle changes. Not really out of shape, but just didn't have a membership before and are jumping on the band wagon. These are ok, but only because 75% of these people are hot young women. They're only going to be around for a month anyway, but it's not like they really *need* to be there, so it's not like they're fooling themselves. They're just wasting everyone's time. But like I said, 75% are hot young women, so seriously, who cares.
4 - Women in their 30's showing off their Christmas presents. And by presents I mean "boob jobs". Living in Canada it's pretty rare to see a women with obvious implants, but in the gym, it's a totally different story. Me, I'm glad they're there but daaaaamn is it distracting.
So yes, this time of year the gym is crawling by slim faux-stacked women. I really don't understand why non-pornstar women get implants. I get the whole self-esteem thing, but for some reason, when I hear that girl needs bigger breasts to have sufficient self esteem I begin to wonder what kind of person she is.
Once I heard this stupid talk-show hosted by 2 young women and 2 young men. You know, one of those hip and trendy, young and fresh, ones that lasted like... one month a few years back. Anyway, they were talking about celebrity boob-jobs and one of the girls asks the guys "do you like fake or natural boobs" and the guy who answered was the biggest idiot ever. He of course said he liked natural, and the girl immediately chirped "but why?" and the retard was like "I like how they look, I just wouldn't want to marry a girl with them", and the girl was like "but why, what if she has them for self-esteem", then the guy showed his idiot colors and said something like "I wouldn't want to marry her, and I get the self esteem thing, but, the feel isn't as natural".
Yeah, so that guy is officially banned from the surface-word during the Bearcopter dominion. Seriously, everything aside, the real deal is that I can't really respect a girl who needs implants to have self-esteem. If the girl can't pull self esteem from somewhere other than the breasts she couldn't grow, then there is an underlying problem that I find undesirable.
Now, if the girl had breast cancer and got implants to put her back to the shape she was before the surgery, that's understandable, because she's just going back to her familiar body shape.
If the girl get implants because she's a porn star and she wants to stand out more, then whatever, another legitimate excuse.
But if the girl claims that she needs implants for self-esteem, I have to ask myself, "so, what is wrong with you?". Does this mean she's got suicidal tendencies? Does it mean that she's generally insecure and could go insane at a moments notice? Or does it just mean that she thinks bigger boobs would look good on her, so she's swapping out her chest like a pair of shoes, and using "self-esteem" as a seemingly socially acceptable excuse.
So, if I was that guy, getting asked that same question, this would be my reason for saying I didn't like fake breasts:
All the excuses for getting them make a woman less desirable to me: (note, this is if they look perfect, and not like frankenboobs)
- if you have self-esteem issues that can be fixed by boobs, I would avoid you, as I prefer mentally stable women
- if you are a porn-star, I would tag you as a slut
- if you think that swapping your body parts for other ones is just like getting a hair cut or changing your socks, I would think you're fanatical
Huh, look at that, I actually did go on a micro-rant.
Anyway, back on topic, even though it's completely obvious as to who has implants and who doesn't at the gym, here's a set of observations / detection guide:
They are fake if:
- if you can see cleavage when the woman is standing upright. Women at the gym don't typically put them on display unless they just got 'em.
- the max altitude is a location other than where they meet the rest of her chest.
- she excitedly asks every other woman "how do they look!!?"
- you can see the bones in her back, but her boobs look visibly tight
