My sister got Guitar hero for xmas and she loves playing it. I do not. Anyway, her controller simply decides to stop working constantly through songs. She smacks it a few times and it begins to work again, but a few seconds later it dies again.
The controller has brand new batteries in it, so no worries there, the signal has a clear path to the reciever, and the guitar itself as far as I know(I dont know a lot, I dont play guitar hero) doesn't seem to have any obvious flaws.
This happened to anyone else?
Which system?
I've got it for Wii and had the wammy bar stop working for me. One of the other buttons will actually do the same thing. Spinning it around or just wiggling it around enough seems to fix it. Resetting the controller back in is the best thing to try.
Does it totally go out, or just certain buttons?
It's for the playstation 2. It completely dies, she smacks it, and it comes back to life for a few seconds. It then proceeds to die again.
I would say either a bad battery connection, or you have a loose wire inside. If pulling the batteries out and putting them back in doesn't work, I'd say try and take it back and exchange it.
I have two guitars for PS2 but they are not wireless and work great even though I've dropped them a couple times.
They don't make things like they used to...
I've got a wired and wireless for the PS2..never had a problem with either one though I find the wired one to be slightly more precise.

It's probly a wire or something on the inside and since I dont really know anything about guitar hero I'm hesitant to open it up and try to fix it.
And she lost the receipt so no go on the return bit.
Probably very unlikely but maybe it's an interference problem. Got any other wireless device in the area?
I have my wii right next to it.
