So I hope everyone had a great Christmas or Hanuka or other holiday. What are some of the cool things you got as presents? Pictures are always fun.
I got some Legos, specifically an RV and some other town sets. I'll find a picture for it later.
I also got a really nice toolbox and set of Craftsman tools, something I really needed.
I got all the toys a growing boy needs.
I got Tupperware canisters, a dust buster, an iron and ironing board, new chair cushions, an awesome painting for my wall, a computer printer, and then bought myself a "toy".
Merry Christmas to me!
The best thing about tupperware is the life time warranty. As soon as it gets ratty, trade it in!
Side note, I don't like tupperware because I don't trust plastic in the microwave...
I prefer those glass containers with the snappy lids. Of course, they don't stack as nicely.
I'm officially too old to get kid gift from my family, so my haul was minimal, but my son racked up. I'm not sure how we will ever top this Christmas.
My presents included the Star Trek DVD, and a board game called Kingsburg. Very fun game, so no complaints there, but that's really about it. We don't need a bunch of stuff actually, but getting stuff is still fun.
Everything a girl needs eh tiny?
I got a really fancy computer chair (last one sucked big time). Also got a wii classic controller, few star wars items including a yoda bobble head. I got quite a bit of money that I think I will put towards some computer speakers and a wii fit for my wife. I got her a netbook as well so now we can chat in the house!

.
Please tell me you got her an Asus.
My haul was minimal--no worries there, the kids 'needed' much more. Son, Wife and daughter got new phones, 'Santa' brought the family a Wii-with extra controler and nun-chuck and Wii Fit Plus. I got my wife a truckload of warm socks and a cool electronic notepad since she has started writing fan fiction (two years ago I bought her a Sony eBook so while she works as a "Greeter" at the front door of our elementry school she could read whatever book or story she wanted---this year they were a 'big' item pushed and advertised around here). The electronic notepad is very cool - you write on plain paper and the pad records your writing and or diagrams/sketches then you hook it up to your computer run OCR software to convert the writing to text / spellcheck and you have wordprocessing in the bag. She can't have a computer at work, but she can read or write so I thought it would be the perfect gift.
Kids got clothes (of course), daughter got an iHome for her iPod, son got Madden10.
All in all it was a good Christmas.

Yup, plastic in microwave is NOT a good idea. But these are containers for flour and sugar so they don't ever get microwaved. I just wanted something to store all the baking stuff in that was airtight since I don't go through it very fast.
I got all the practical things i rarely go out and by on my own. That was all i really asked for most toys i wont i just go out and buy myself eventually.
