This seems to have been a sleeper movie that slipped past the masses.
I found it in a very odd way, I am planning on getting a tattoo of the word FIDO (in the military it is used as an acronym for "Fuck it drive on!" and I use it as my personal mantra whenever 'shit happens.' Anyhow I was googling the word FIDO to look for references, pictures etc and I saw this movie pop up--I had never heard of it so I checked it out (streaming video link: Fido (2006) if you want to see it for free...)
It had me smiling alot, and laughing at a few parts. Very funny story IMHO. It's about a future where the dead come back as zombies set in a 50's era setting, with the big old cars polished to mirror shine, respectful kids who get to carry pistols at age 12... for protection from the zombies - who have been 'civilized' by technology that doesn't always work as intended...
A family gets it's first zombie--the last on the block to finally get one and the zombie gets along with the son better than his own father does...
Worth a look if you want a light yet gruesome comedy! Let me know if you've:
Never heard of it and aren't interested.
Heard of it and didn't want to see it.
Seen it and disliked it.
Seen it and had no opinion.
Seen it and liked it.
