Well the first major storm of the season started around 8pm last night and so far dropped 13.5" of heavy snow. They upgraded it to the biggest "storm" which is a blizzard and... they named it "Allison". Pity they didn't fix the spelling but oh well!

Meanwhile I am 2 miles from work and can't get in cause my apt complex has yet to shovel anything. In fact, the snow is still dropping at a rate of 2" per hour with winds in excess of 25 mph.

They decided not to "close" our office - just not open it until noon. So I have to figure out how to trudge into work without boots. Fun fun. Naturally I'm extremely far behind at work so this couldn't have come at a better time.
yay for working at home Smile

That storm passed through here around midnight and is still falling...kind of turning to rain
Nice to know Allison touched you too MSJ Wink
wish she had a warmer touch Sad
Bah, we had snow, but then it turned to rain by morning, and everything was ruined.
I'm sure a quiet reminder that it should be spelled "Alison" will convince them to correct the issue...

We had lots of snow - then it switched to rain, and by morning it was mostly gone - kids did get a 2 hr delayed opening though so there was some joy!
I should take pictures. This is insane
throw on the shirt!
Brrr

Ok, they finally decided to close work today. Good thing I didn't bother getting dressed.
You Americans are wimps.

In Canada the only way anything is closing is if it's encased in ice 4 feet thick. 3 feet it's business as usual.
