Hi lads,

been a while.

only a quick hi. I work in the city centre hospital here in cork city now. Crisis stations pretty much now. Flooding all over. City is fucked and some of the key walls have collasped. One critical key wall is on its last legs,it goes and its going to be bad. And the problem is it probable will give. The dam above the city is 8 times over its normal amount.

otherwise hi guys.. Smile
About time you come back...though sounds like you're in an end of the world movie over there.

I think Iceland is going to hell o.O
Stay dry man - or at least learn to tread water... Good luck.
yeah sorry for that lads. The dam came 4 inches from going over
also i'm gone.

Be back in a few days
Hi and bye!

And welcome back!!
since I could hold my head up high...
Good time to invest in a boat or raft.
Check back in soon, so we at least know you are still alive.
So far so good here. Dams been relived of the pressure and wont be breaking any time soon. The wall by the hospital is holding up well and the water levels are dropping. Still its raining hard tonight and as of this morning a number of areas re flooded.

The city has also developed a whole new problem now though. The water treatment/pumping plant was located alongside the river at the worst point of the flooding. Its completely out of order at the moment. 20000 homes are without water and the rest of the city appears to be surviving on reserves which are slowly running out. I'm ok where I am at the moment but it seems that the water pressure in our taps has had a noticeable drop in water pressure.

The University in the city has been shut for a week while they try to fathom just how much damage has been done. In one of the uni building there was a cancer research group in the basement, not anymore. One of two of the uni's buildings have more or less been wiped out.

I spent Friday trying to save files from a flooded basement in the hospital. We had a chain gang going for hours to get stuff out. Most of the files were destroyed.
