They gave Obama the Nobel Peace prize. He hasn't even done anything yet. The world is going to hell in a handbasket with these political elites trying to dicate everything that goes on.

Here's the first paragraph:

'Some Idiot' Wrote:President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.

They are giving him the award based on what they think (and he says) he's going to do, not what he has actually done (which isn't a whole lot of anything).
-1000 For human smartness.. Hell, in 40 years time we'll all be classed as 'geniouses' for being able to put a sentance together...
Wow, I didn't think you could win a Nobel Prize for something you're "trying" to do.

I bet every Miss America from this day forward wins a Nobel Prize, because all of them are apparently trying to end child suffering, aids, hunger, and nuclear weapons. Plus they look better.
Pants on head retarded.
Yeah, I read this and threw up a little. It pretty much devalues the award and cheapens it. Isn't it meant to go to someone who has done something? I thought it was totally based on what you HAVE achieved not what you MAY someday possibly achieve.

Complete worthlessness. Don't know what they were thinking.
Well, they gave a Nobel prize to Al Gore the other year for raising awareness of global warming. I thought that was a low point. I see that they have proved me wrong. Touche award givers, touche.
haha when I read this article earlier today the first person I thought of was Senator. And now I log in here and see this...awesome

I agree though, you should only get that prize for accomplishments. Otherwise I could win it with my goals of building a website that will unify all of humanity under my rule and wisdom.........

Here's another kicker to the story. The nominations had to be in before February 1st. That means he wasn't even in office for a month before being nominated. I don't know when they officially voted, but he shouldn't have even made it past the nomination committee after less than one month in office.
Less than two weeks actually.

Neglected_elf

My head hurts... so because he is "going" to do so many things that he hasn't even put into action he get this. Silly government
