Apparently supporters of Obama are afraid that this award will put too much pressure on him. That it will create expectation that he won't be able to live up to......ISN'T THAT THE WHOLE POINT? They gave him the award so that he WOULD live up to it. ARGH.
I'm going to tell the Nobel prize committee that I plan to threaten to punch people in the brain if they don't start ending world hunger.
Then I'll win the next one for sure.
I feel sorry for the food genetics engineers who lost out on the award this round because of this.
