Oh man, I totally forgot about Gantz, apparently they did a poor anime adaptation of that.

The manga was good... but yeah, haven't seen anything new in aaaaages.
I haven't read that in maybe 2 years or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if HOTD was canceled, Japanese people don't tend to like what we think is good and that usually kills them, because if it can't make it to anime, it can't make decent money.

...and Berserk is way longer than a month between updates.
I saw one episode of the air gear anime... not too into it... although I may check it out again, can't argue with random boobs.

Volumes consisting of between 8–11 episodes are still published biannually in Japan by Hakusensha (Jets Comics collection). As of October 2008, 33 tankōbon of the manga have been published in Japan.

So they just do bulk volumes twice a year.

I guess that kinda makes sense, last I checked there were like... 4 or 5 issues out that I hadn't read yet.

With the speed they release volumes it really makes you think of how long that manga has been out.

Well... seeing the anime came out in 1997.... Yeah, a long freaking time ago.

The manga began in 1989. It's 20 years old.... yeesh.
