Still think we evolved from Apes? Take a look at this. In short, they found some 4.4 million year old human remains that indicate Apes and humans evolved separately.

What?? God didnt magically create us??? BLASPHEMER!! STONE HIM TO DEATH
ummm...this discovery is actually more in line with religious beliefs then those who believe in evolution.
Yeah. 'evolution' (billions and billions of years ago a speck appeared out of no where) is the opposite of 'creation' (In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the earth)
What ever happened to that topic where I made ggeorge cry because he's atheist?
i thought the bible dated the world to be very young not billions of years old.

Well the Bible doesn't say the world was billions or millions but if you look at the timeline of events based on AD and BC, most creationist scientists put the earth at more in the 10,000s range. This is where stuff gets really confusing - because evolutionists will show carbon dating that claims things were a "billion" years old whereas creationists will show carbon dating showing say, "20,000" years old.
Either way, from a biblical standpoint people of the era when it was actually written would not have had a concept of millions and billions of anything probably. Somewhere in there it basically states that time is irrelevant to God. Therefore a "day" for him (in terms of the creation story) could really be any number of days, years, or even millennia to us.
You guys sound like Mike, a Jehovah's witness i used to work with, good guy taught me alot.
I'm telling ya... there was a thread here somewhere, where we talked about this already.
