That's pretty cool.
I would do the same if someone broke into my house. When ever i go and check something in the house, like if the dogs start going nutts, i carry a sword.
I was in my cousin's house alone one night (was living with them for a while) and I kept hearing a doorbell ring...but there was never anyone at the door. Worst was that there were huge windows all over the house so they could clearly see me but I couldn't see outside.

So I closed the lights and sat in the living room with my display katana (cheap thing I paid 50$ for). And then my cousin finally returned home to find me sitting alone in the dark on the couch holding a katana lol

Creepy thing was, I then found out my cousin doesn't have a doorbell!!!! Waaaa waa waaaaa
Kinda reminds me of that movie The Strangers. F'ed up movie.
The ironic part is that she had a doorbell, but then got rid of it beacuse it was haunted.
Spooky.
Call your local exorcist?
so this ghost was of a 9 year old kid who decided to haunt a doorbell for all eternity.
This reminds me of a time my wife and I were visiting friends in Providence, RI where a buddy of mine was a firefighter. We had been drinking late and sleeping in a strange place I woke up when I heard something 'strange'. Looking out the bedroom window I saw a man climbing the wall on the house next door by gripping a window ledge and a downspout pipe...
This was strange enough to get me up and wake my buddy so we could investigate. All turned out to be well when my friend recognized the climber as the owner of the house who gave his keys to a bartender so he wouldn't drive but forgot to take his house key--got dropped off home with no way in, except for the window. We used a ladder and got him in safe.
