Well i would give a real review but I dont really feel like going into the detail.
To sum it up the first book is pretty good, but if you want to read about a crybaby hypocrite who runs around a world so he can be the coolest kid in school for about 8-10 books then this might be a good series to read. You might also like if if you are Gay, are an asshat, or if your sign in is MSJ.

Well it sorta tricks you. The first few books are pretty good but by the end you finally realize what you have been reading and by then its too late. I had to finish. The books are pretty much the writers dreams of being the coolest kid in school.

Theres a tv show based on the series of books called Legend of the Seeker. It apparently dosent follow the books very much at all but the show is pretty good IMO and the books apparently suck. So if you haven't read them don't and watch the show!
Dont watch the show. Its worse then the books. Honestly the first few books are very good. But as the series progresses you'll end up frustrated as hell. Not to mention richards complete lack of magical development. He only gets to use it when he needs to become the dues ex machina of his own story, then he some how forgets how he did it all.
I've read the whole entire series by Terry Goodkind, and I think there was only one book that I didn't like!! but everyone has their own thoughts!! Its a good series depending on what type of books you enjoy reading!
This series is very love hate for me. I like parts of it, but as is progressed i liked richard less and less.
