My fiancee has granted me a whole room that I can decorate as I please to display my entire star wars collection.

The room will be filled with star wars collectibles on shelves walls, desks etc and this will also be the room with my computer desk in hence where i'll be doing all my work.

I need help however coming up with a good idea for what color I should paint the room? It's rather small and there's one window that faces the south side of the house.

I was thinking dark colors but since I'll be working in there probably a lot I don't want it to be too dark.

Any ideas?

Can you get to the ceiling above easily through and attic or something, or is it a ground floor?

I could probably get to the ceiling easily enough (it's on the top floor)...but I'm asking for color schemes...not...whatever it is your thinking schemes

I always wanted to do this, but didn't really have a good enough reason to do it, or the time.

Get a string(s) of LED lights and make small holes of varying sizes from above and place an LED light in each hole. Make constellations if you want, but paint the ceiling black, or a very deep blue. You now have a night sky or space to go with all your Star Wars stuff. If you want to not be too dark, fade down the color to a lighter tone as you go down the walls.

Or... spatter fluorescent white paint on your white ceiling. Then when the lights are out, turn on a blacklight to make them shine. Bam, way easier way to get stars. Make up your own constellations.

Make sure its paint.

The LEDs actually give you real light and would give a very different effect than the fluorescent paint. I'll probably end up trying it at some point, but not in my current house which we'll probably sell in the next few years to upgrade.

I find the idea of glow in the dark lights, LEDs in the ceiling a bit...meh...not interesting. It's too typical and I don't care much for it.

So far I think i'm going to paint the far black wall all black and paint in big letters the words STAR WARS in yellow of course (just like in the opening crawl). Then I'm thinking of painting the other two walls possibly a dark blue or some shade of gray.

This living room deserves attention too

It really wouldn't be too hard to build those shelves with a few good saws and a steady hand, but it could start getting expensive pretty quickly.
