Last year I ran out of vacation time so I had to break my leg in order to get enough sick-leave to turn my monitor on.
Luckily I leave it on now and don't have to go through all that hassle when I want to post.
P.S. I feel a mini-rant coming on.

interests? - Pool. Seriously, I spend a lot of my time in the campus pool hall (which contributes to my lack of posting here) I also read a lot and like tot talk on skype.

You clearly don't have to rearrange your life for a message board, especially if one of your 2 listed hobbies include "talking on Skype".
It's perfectly fine to say you don't particularly find this place interesting, MSJ isn't going to cry.
If she really hated this place, she would have left by now so cut her some slack.
Instead of trying to scare off new members why not engage in this thing we call "conversation".
