I finally finished the game!
Story: if you never played any game in the god of war series to sum it up, kratos is a sparten general, he went fighting for sparta, in one battle he was going to die, so he asks ares the god of war to give him the power to live and defeat his enemies, in return he has to do what ever Ares tells him to do, he kills his family without knowing and becomes the ghost of sparta ( as their ashes came on his body, they are white since his family was innocent). he opens pandoras box, and kills ares. in god of war 2 he becomes the god of war fights a giant golden statue get's betrayed by zeus killed but saved from death by a titan. he goes back in time fights zeus kills athena and gathers a titan army to climb mount olympus.
the story in the last game of the trilogy is simple he has to go and kill zeus, slaughtering everyone in his way. their are a couple of unexpected events the story isn't great but the good thing about it is that it explains why certain events happened through ought the whole trilogy.
graphics: the BEST GRAPHICS EVER CREATED, well first thing the game runs at 1080p, the backgrouds looks amazing and the amount of detail put into the game is immense. the character looks so realistic, kratos is the best looking character ever created and i think it will stay like that for a long time.
the graphics are just amazing, believe me you won't be believing what you see.
gameplay: god of war 3 is a hack'n slash game, you basiclly mash buttons, but that is a stereotype. even on easy you need to dodge and time your attacks even against grunts, going one on one with a boss or even a centaur by just button mashing will result in your death. Their is combat in the game, platforming, and puzzles.
lets start with combat, each time you kill a boss or a certain character you get an item or items from them. you can have 4 weapons in the game, each one feels unique has their own moves and their own spell. you have spells in the game, that is why you have a magic meter. other then that their is a rage of sparta mode where you get to use the blade of olympus, you won't use it often but if you'r desperate to kill a boss it's worth using. other then that their are 3 items in the game, which you gain by killing a boss or a character, they aren't a weapon but can do some damage against enemies and are used to accomplish the levels. also when you finish the game you can use any "godly" possesions you collected when playing your 2nd play through, the 4 weapons and the 3 items can be upgraded each upgrade gives the item more damage and specif capabilities. for the 3 items they are upgradeble till lvl 2 and for the 4 weapons they can reach level 5. to do so you must gain red orbs by killing enemies and breaking vases and opening chests.
the platforming: bais platforming swining, jumping climbing, it's not mario but it's fun and gives you a break on the gore.
the puzzles, they are not that hard but one took me 15 minutes to figure out, they are fun and make you think isntead of button mashing.
overall the game play experience is amazing, their are short sequences where you can "finish off" your enemy, when suceeding at pressing buttons at the right time kratos will do moves such as riping their lungs out and removing their tail. the game has so much gore that is a battle gets so bloody you will be covered with blood.
lasting appeal: the game on easy is about 9 hours, on normal, 11, on hard 12, and on very hard 13, well it depends on the skill of the player. after that their is a challenge arena, if you beat all changes you will unlock a combat arena where you will possibly just fight freely (i didnt unlock it yet) it is not as long as an rpg but believe me you will be coming for more even after your third play through. if you don't own a ps3 this is a reason to own one (if you like hack'n slash games) if you own one and don't want to buy it you could rent the game and experience what 2 million people have experienced till now.

This review fails. He gave 2 things 11/10. What kind of moronic fucktard cant even keep to a simple fucking scale of 10? Seriously? George, you deserve to be taken outside and beaten till you're nearly dead.

that was symbolic!! a review fails if their isnt shit to justify the score, did you even care to read it? the final score wasn't an average. going out of the scale isnt retarted if it is use as a symbol, 10/10 wasn't enough to describe how i felt about the game certain sections. god you and your lame excuses.

I despise things that get rated higher than 10 out of 10.
It exudes retardery.
I don't do BS like that.
