This will be updated as I see new stuff, but so far I've only checked out a few titles.
X-Men - 1 ep watched
Madhouse and Marvel are at it again this time with all the X-Men instead of just Wolverine. Oddly enough, Wolverine seems about 20x cooler in this series.
It seems almost similar to the old X-Men Animated Series cartoon with an anime twist, and fewer characters. It takes place during the cartoon when Jean becomes Phoenix and disappears. This time it's because Mastermind makes her go crazy.
Anyway, they have to go to Japan because there were reports of a Japanese mutant girl getting kidnapped which follows professor X noticing that Cerebro can't detect any mutants near the are where the girl disappeared from. So, X-Men in Japan.
Either way, I think they've finally found a good match and I may actually watch this one. The outlook is positive so far.
Stein's Gate - 1 ep watched
This is based on some version of time-travel "theory". Not sure if theory is the word I'm looking for. It's a strain of the time-travel genre, fairly psychological, fairly experimental...
The main character doesn't seem to be aware that he can travel through time, or aware that is happens at all, his mind is just meeeeeeeeessed up and in the course of episode 1's odd-doings it seems that he finds out he somehow has information from the future, or that he is able to send information into the past. One of the two.
It's bizarre and confusing, but that's what it's supposed to be. Looking positive so far.
