I will suggest a few CLASSIC(super nintendo and beofre) rpgs

SNES
-Final Fantasy (any of them)
-Chrono Trigger
-Robo Trek
-Earth Bound
-Ogre Battle
-Secret of Mana
-Lufia (all of them)

Sega Genesis
-Phantasy Star 4 (maybe 2 if you are pretty hardcore)
-Shining Force 1 and 2

These are the quick ones that come to mind...ogre battle and shining force are more strategy games with some rpg elements..but are MUST PLAYS. Secret of mana is a classic 2 player real time rpg. Robo Trek, Earthbound and Chrono Trigger are very charming rpgs that just have a cool feel about them. Phantasy Star, Final Fantasies and Lufia are your traditional rpgs.

Suiken II, did you mean suikoden II G? If so i bet its my fault you had to get that.

You somehow forgot the two flagship RPGs for the Namco and Tri-Ace RPGs:

Tales of Phantasia (first game with a voice layer)
Star Ocean (final SNES RPG)
