i'm officially done with school this year. just came back from my field practice (if that's how you call it) and got a big fat A+ for it. summer vacation is supposed to last for at least 3 months in my country, but it seems i only have 1 month and a half left. anyway, big apologizes for not being around "for months", as someone pointed out at me in the introductions thread. i've been extremely busy with school, work and other private matters. i'll make sure to post some pics here later on from my field practice and more, if i decide they're suitable enough (it seems i am totally wasted in most of them).
anyway, good to see you guys again and i'm happy the tavern is still here where and as i left it.
the tavern is about the same, probably a few more bearcopters around though. Glad to have you back.
I'm not sure that "field practice" translates exactly for USA schools. You'll have to elaborate a bit on what exact that is. I'm assuming some kind of long term project on location somewhere related to your major.
I've been out of town with both my colleagues and some teachers somewhere on a river's valley. we were supposed to make a geologic analysis on the area, based on all the things we learned in school in the past year. that means making observations on sedimentary rocks, identifying the elements of a trough and finally, explaining what happened there billions of years ago..
I take it you are studying to be a geologist then, or maybe archeology?
I'm going with geology or some type of environmental science. And I assume field practice is like a field study.
Is that the class that allows you to summon earth elementals or throw windstorms and volcanic ashes at your opponents?
I think that's elemental shamanism 101.
